Hania Tarek… A name that you hear everywhere and anywhere. Yes she is that girl with EXTRA curly hair that is involved in anything and everything! And yes you got it right; she is this year’s Deputy Secretary General! Hania is by nature a dedicated perfectionist. She leaves a print anywhere she goes and with whomever she works with. She also shines wherever she is and no matter what she’s doing, it could be acting, studying, socializing or even eating. Hania is a great listener and a great entertainer. Besides that, she is surprisingly a very random person who could laugh for hours on something that happened 5 years ago. Most importantly, Hanounzi is that kind of person whom if you call at 4 am crying, you would find her knocking on your door, coming for your rescue with a big box of chocolate, well sushi in my case. If I could describe Hania’s life in two words it would be “always late”. However she manages to get everything perfectly done at the last minute. Well, I advise you take care of that girl who spreads positive energy everywhere as she will sure be the world’s next (insert very important actress name, politician or motivational speaker).

The first second I saw Seif debating, I knew he was going to be this year’s Secretary General. Actually, we all kinda knew from C1 that he was going to become our Secretary General, it was only a matter of time. Seif and I started working together for the first time when we were chosen for our positions and this is when I became acquainted with his remarkable personality. He is a simple young man, humble and down to earth. Even if his beard doesn’t show it, Seif has a heart of gold and he is the main provider of cupcakes and donuts of our team. Diplomatic, righteous, perfectionist, innovative and talented, these are all traits of his striking personality.  Plus, he is the geekiest of all geeks; this site is just an example of his exceptional computer skills. He even taught me how to use Google Drive which practically saved my life. Seif is the perfect leader to the most amazing team. He is the role model we all look up to, to get inspired, to give our best and to make this conference a reality. But, he still needs a safety valve for his temper. As concluding remarks, Safsifo, OISMUN was blessed when you were chosen as its Secretary General, because no one would have ever done a better job.

Ahmed Rabie, this year’s deputy Secretary General or as he likes to call himself DSG, is one of a kind. I know this is so cliché but hear me out. This guy calls himself Buddha, thinks he is Tom Cruise’s twin and believes he is this era’s Don Juan, he has the biggest ego ever. However, behind all of this, Rabie has one of the kindest hearts in our team. If he sees that you are upset or not in a good mood, he’ll talk, sing or even dance for you until he sees the biggest smile on your face. Pretty special right ?  I myself am blessed to call him my big brother and we are all blessed to have him in our team, especially because we are exploiting his unlimited knowledge about everything and anything. By the way, the picture attached to this description does not do him justice, because if you see him today, you will be amazed and mostly inspired by his weight loss. He is basically half the person in the picture.

You can call her “Mama” sometimes, because this girl never fails to help her babies, and by babies I mean her friends, cousins, relatives, neighbors, colleagues, and even her uncle’s second cousin’s friend. This is how i can perfectly describe her caring personality. She has taken responsibility to a whole new level and still has time to joke around, the thing that every teacher keeps complaining about, she’s hard working, extremly serious but also very talkative. She can just sit and listen to you forever and give you the wisest advice, you’ll always feel comfortable talking to her. She’s always honest when you need her opinion. I’ve never met anyone who knows her and doesn’t like her for who she is. She knows how to make you love her and will surely make you feel loved. I can actually call her a role model for her intelligent, funny and beautiful soul. You probably figured out who she is from the very first sentence, she’s Nadine El Nashar!

This goes out to the girl with the best personality. Whenever anyone thinks of Salma, all that comes to mind is her endless complaints, her mean remarks, her sky-high chin while walking, or maybe even her Barbie backpack that’s just so “SPARKLETASTIC”. But let me just tell you this: Salma is much more than that. She might be lazy but she never leaves her work undone, and when she does something, she owns it. She might be bossy but she is one of the most understanding people ever. She is truly an outstanding person; be it because of her stomach-aching and eye-tearing sense of humor, because of her unwavering support, or because of the fact that her mind works in a million different ways. She’s one of the best people I know, and this MUN conference would not have been the same without her.

Rodayna zaki = the cement of our conference since she’s the one sticking all the bricks together, making sure we’re all at the same level and slowly building the great wall of OISMUN. Her character never seizes to amaze us ; she’s able to gracefully juggle constantly gossiping about others, her extremely hard IB subjects and being head of the organization team this year. Some may argue that the position she was given suits a guy better but that’s what Rodayna basically is. But don’t be fooled, even though she’s a hardcore feminist, her elegance and femininity have succeeded in proving us otherwise. Therefore, we, the whole team, would like to thank her for her tremendous efforts that made this conference a reality. All hail queen ROUROU.

Short, Blonde, and Vice-Head of the Organisation Team of OISMUN. These are probably the three things everyone knows about Salma. However, there are a lot of other things that characterise her. Salma is a very very kind person; she is incapable of hurting a fly. She is also a very perseverant, smart and dedicated person. Despite the fact that a lot of doctors told her she couldn’t play Synchronized Swimming anymore, she didn’t give up. In addition, she has managed in her busy schedule as an IB student, to become the youngest Synchronized Swimming coach in Egypt. Salma really amazes me and I am proud to say I know someone like her. She might seem as a quiet and shy person but once you get to know her, you’ll discover the other side of her and you’ll love it.

Norhan Helmy? From where can I start? Weirdest instagram pictures, craziest Facebook posts… She has the ability to turn anything, literally ANYTHING into something artistic. The most unconventional human being with the most unconventional thought. Greatest support system with the biggest heart. The best person you could ever go to for advice, even though the only advice she’ll be insisting on giving you is to be yourself and nothing but yourself. You’ll always find her the first knocking on your door when you’re not okay, and she’ll always know how to turn that frown upside down. She’s different, and her uniqueness makes this world a better place. Norhan Helmy is a beautiful soul.

Mariam Zikri, this year’s vice head of administration, is the kind of person that you can’t summarize in one paragraph. She is simply a paradox and this is my putting it mildly. She is everything and its exact opposite. A very smart, hyper active and hard working girl, yet she is the biggest procrastinator you will ever meet. She is torn between becoming a doctor and a Broadway actress. She can easily watch and participate in an open heart surgery but she can’t get herself to light a match. Got my point yet? Despite all these contradictions, she is blessed with a heart of gold, she is very honest, and is a very important asset to our team, which is probably the reason why we all love her.

This year’s head of accommodation is one of a kind, which makes writing this paragraph a very hard and demanding task. Malak Magdy is simply a perfect fit for the job, because of her remarkable social skills and her ability to make everyone feel at ease. She is not one to sit back and watch the world go by, she always wants to be involved and she enjoys communicating.  So, basically she is the ultimate social butterfly. Malak is very energetic, clever and friendly, but most importantly she is very kind.  Her kindness can make you feel evil. She is known for her pure heart and big smile. She is literally an angel. As concluding remarks, if you are searching for a new friend to explore the world with, Malak Magdy is definitely the ultimate choice and I don’t mind sharing her.  

They say the way to a man’s heart is his stomach, well, in this case its actually true. If there is one thing that Omar loves and understands well, its food. He has an impeccable taste and without him we would’ve either starved or been forced to eat inedible food. Other than his knowledge of food, Omar is known as the most cheerful person that ever walked this earth. This is due to the fact that he manages to turn every bad situation into a funny moment. I can bet on my life that there isn’t a single person that doesn’t enjoy Omar’s company. Without having him in classes my school days would be unbearable. In addition, he works extremely hard at school and always pushes me to do my best. From feeding us, cheering us and getting us all hooked on the immortals game, to working his butt off for school; there’s probably not a single thing he does without a smile on his face. He’s the purest soul you will ever meet. Nothing can express our gratitude for giving us the most amazing food while enjoying your amazing company.

What a great friend and person he is. One of the best friends any one can ever have and one of the best people you will ever meet. If I can describe him in one phrase, it would be “A true friend “. Even though he  always seems lost, he will always be there whenever you need him…  and even when you don’t. When you’re in a deep sleep after a long day and he calls you because he wants to just bully you or have fun. When he doesn’t care whether you have some hard test the next day or don’t have anything to do at all. When he calls, you have to listen… and it’s not an option. It’s really hard to find good words to describe him because he seems to be a special case. He is the kind of friend which, you might not find anything about him that you like, but he’s still your favourite person.  

 Starting from her funny and cheerful nature that spread nothing but laughter wherever she goes, to her extraordinary kindness, to being able to extract a ton of jokes in every situation no matter how serious it might be, to her having my back since forever and her never falling to put a smile on my face! I personally cannot even imagine how my life could look like if she wasn’t there. AND how this year’s OISMUN couldn’t have even happen without the exceptional spirit she spreads around.

One of my favorite people in the world, Nadia is was one the funnest people in the world, she’s kind and hyperactive most of the time, but you’ll love her. She’s one of the few people who manage to cheer me up every time I see her, she’s basically my sister. Nadia is very creative in an artistic way but I don’t think she knows that. she’s one of the craziest people you’ll meet, you’ll never see Nadia sitting down in a party and if you see her sitting you’ll immediatly know there’s something wrong. Pleasure working with her, and couldn’t think of any another person to replace her.   

From very serious talks with an aggressive tone to non-stop laughing for hours: probably the most suitable description of Aleya that I can think of. She is the kind of girl people categorize as crazy when they first meet her. But, afterwards I discovered that this craziness is the thing I love most about her, I can assure that this craziness is what keeps me going through tough days.  I found out that I couldn’t get along with anyone as much as I do with her. What our generation now suffers from is constant drama, I instantly go to Aleya to get out of that tragic mood people are in these days. She’s the kind of person that you can travel the world with and not worry about those 11 hours you’ll spend on the plane because you’re sure that she’ll entertain you one way or another.

I’ve been sitting here for a few minutes and don’t know how to start talking about how creative and passionate Abdallah is. How he touches your soul deeply when you just watch him playing music or singing, or when you watch how his passion brought the best out of him in everything he does. I couldn’t find the words to explain how music is not only a part of his life, but it’s a part of who he is. He uses it to express the emotions he gets in every situation in his life, because for him music is not only about a couple of beats and notes, but a hope, a source of comfort, pain, love and worship. He’s simply an inspiration to anyone who gets to know him. Apart from being a musician, he’s a person that you can always count on; he’s a brother and a friend that makes your life better.  He’s the funniest, most-caring person out there and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll be blessed to have him in your life.

Amina is Arabic for “honest” and there is no better fitting person for this name than her! Amina is very fair and honest towards others and herself. She is one of those people who have their life goals set and won’t let anyone change her mind. She knows what she wants and will do everything to get it. I really admire how she stays strong when things don’t work out like she planned them too. I still don’t understand how she manages to sleep more hours than a baby and still get her work done, chapeau! She’s my partner in procrastination, my best friend and someone I can always count on!  Sugar? Yes please! I’m a hundred percent sure that this year’s opening and closing ceremony will be a massive success because Amina Amr doesn’t settle for anything less than perfect. 

Ahmed Hakim this year’s outings guru is taking the outings to a whole new level. Many people know this guy as the outgoing party animal that rolls up in style at every major event. However, most people do not know that he has a genuine talent for business and events planning. Ahmed or should I say Hekma is the kind of person that takes the easy way in life out of pure laziness. However Bill Gates once said that the best employees are the lazy ones because they create easier and faster ways to get the job done. Hakim will surprise you all this year with the amazing outings and ideas he has in store for OISMUN. Having him on the team was essential to the success of OISMUN. We know that you’ll show us the time of our lives Lord Hakim. From your Econ and English buddy.

One of the smartest decisions taken by the executive team, is making Farouh our event planer this year, because someone creative and imaginative like her is very hard to find. 17? Yes but 6 at heart. This artistic, amazing and funny girl is always fun to have her around. You can do any and every crazy, spontaneous and irrelevant thing with her, because if you asked her to go down the 3765 stairs of the Eiffel tower, eat in a bus stop because you don’t have enough money to sit at a restaurant, sing and dance in the streets at 4 am, ring the bell and run quickly or jump of a plane to go back to Paris, she would do them ALL. This français A SUP girl is definitely our future Victoria’s Secret model, so try to stay in touch with her ;). 

Cherif has never participated at an OISMUN conference in the past, not even when we all tried to encourage him to do so. Simply, he did not have time because of his tennis practice. However, he is great at computer skills and programming, so when he decided to apply for the position of IT, for me, it was not a shocker. Knowing him, he is a hard worker, and does not start nor cause any problems in the team. I believe, this made him the head of the department of IT. Since, he is both good at what he does and completes his tasks properly and is the one who made sure that the team was always functional, even during crises. He is a leader and a great colleague. And He is quite TALL.

Emma Raafat, this year’s head of design, is the kind of person that can make you realize that you have a boring life. She tours the country dancing with her crew, she is a high couture designer in her free time, she makes awesome necklaces and she gives great hugs. Jealous yet? Because I am. Her talent and passion make me feel like a basic person. She is simply the definition of a true artist. In addition to her awesome life, she has a very radiant and positive personality; she would go black and blue to help out someone in need.  It won’t take you time to notice her in the conference; she will be the one with the rocking fashion sense and the bright red lipstick. But if you didn’t, I can grantee you that you missed an opportunity of a life time.

Honesty, politeness and loyalty, these three words can perfectly summarize saif’s character. His positive spirit and attitude contributed to the success  of the team, especially the it department. We are also very thankful of having him in our team.

I have no idea how ABO entered my life in the first place, but boy am I glad he did. What can possibly be better than having a person in your life that’s always cheerful, motivating and makes every moment hilarious? Well, its having that person on your OISMUN team, because through all the late nights and free periods spent working on MUN, there is never a dull moment that passes by. On top of all that he is one of the most hardworking and dedicated person I’ve ever met. I’ve realized that I’ve never shown you gratitude so I would like to take this opportunity to thank you. Thank you for working as hard as you do to make it easier on everyone else. Thank you for making our school days a little more bearable. Thank you for being who you are, because now, I can’t imagine my life without you. Finally, thank you for showing me that a person can in fact eat a plastic placard and be completely fine.  

If you get the chance to meet Imane Islam at school, you will find yourself standing in front of an extremely tall girl wearing glasses. Not the most impressive entrance, right? But, let me frankly tell you something: first impressions are usually deceiving and in this specific situation, it certainly is. This year’s Head of Media Imane Islam is definitely an exceptional and unique young woman. Speaking of 5 years worth of experience with this astounding girl, she has a set of remarkable qualities that are quite rare these days. First of all, she is a multi tasker. She is the only person i met who can eat, drink, listen to music, correct some papers and daydream in class, yet, still manages to recite every single word the teacher has said in the class. Imane has taught me that hard work and dedication can take people really far. No matter who you are and what ressources you have. I believe that she is the one who can work her best to make this OISMUN conference a remarkable one.

Jayda karam, this year’s media assitant will excel at her position. She probably has the best accent you will ever hear, which might make you think she was born in an English country. She is a very determined hard worker and will excel at any task given to her. Jayda has a vibe that she gives off, that can make anyone feel better if their down. Not only is she very positive, she also has a very constructive mind that gets people wondering how wise of a person she is. She’s a person that can get everyone out of their shell in no time, only because of how she herself is so at ease with her surroundings and with herself. She’s going to make it far one day.

Yara nabil, the one you can always depend on. She accepts people just the way they are and never makes anyone sad. She cares about anyone and everyone. She is one helpful person that will never see someone in difficulty and leave them without support and help. She is also a hard worker. Whenever she has a duty, she never give’s up, because she always works as much as she can to give the best she has. If she’s wrong, she’ll apologize. And if she gets something wrong, she’ll learn from it. Yara Nabil, the most qualified person for her position in the OISMUN organization team!

I don’t even know when I first met Alia or when we became friends. I’m not sure I remember the first conversation we ever had. The only thing that I am sure of is that I can’t talk about her in just a few words and sentences. I’m sure that if you start arguing with her, you’ll regret talking in the first place. You’ll always be proven wrong .She is the kind of person that understands perfectly what you want to say and helps you throughout any problem that you may have. If you have trust issues, make sure next time you go talk to Alia and I promise she will definitely change that perspective. One thing I can’t miss about Alia is her ability to always put the things in the right words; therefore she’s going to be a successful author in the future. Mark my words!

Marwan is one of the people that, when you get to know, can really strike you as an incredible soul. He’s stupid yet never ceases to amaze me with his occasional intelligence. He’s a bully to anyone and everyone but is one of the nicest people you’ll ever get to know. He’s as fun as they get but never lets that stop him from being committed to what he loves. He’s an absolute knob but is as thoughtful as ever. He has a personality that will have you enamored in no time, just because of how he pulls people in with his heartfelt gestures and witty remarks. He cares about his loved ones like there’s no tomorrow, and even when it’s not obvious, he makes sure to let them know he loves them in the most twisted ways that you can think of. This is a person that can put his entire life on hold for someone he loves, if it came down to that, and is a person that never disappoints. 

An unbelievably and awfully talented photographer, an intelligent little geek, a chess genius, a funny guy with an incredible sense of style, and one of the purest hearts you can ever know. Sounds like the full package, right? Everyone is always looking for someone with beauty and brains, and let me tell you that Marwan is the perfect example. Seemingly mysterious, gloomy and superficial, once you get to know him and earn his trust, he will be one of the best people you could meet. He will always have your back whenever you need him and will never fail to put a smile on your face. Better yet, he will never back down from a challenge. I mean who gets a 7/7 in higher level chemistry only two weeks after switching from standard level?! That’s right, he does. Seriously how awesome is he?

Myra Massoud. Let’s make a long story short. Best girl that dresses on Halloween, the girl that only uses her makeup kit for Halloween and stage drama. The Steven Spielberg to be (seriously if your watching a movie with her you will be frightened; at least I know I do; by how she manages to predict what the next course of action is going to be, and how the director will choose to shoot it, different angles of shooting included in her predictions). Let’s add to that, she is one hell of an actress, I got to witness that first hand. She is known too as the number one fan for old times classics. More specifically she has a bunch of Pink Floyed, Beatles and the Who posters all over the walls of her room and as she travels the world, her aim is to buy as many Vinyl’s as she can. AND she has all the old times classic films you can imagine, from “ The Godfather ”, to “ The matrix ” name it she has them all (that poster thing in her room include movies too by the way, I know she’s awesome). To conclude the next upcoming lines are based on inside jokes that many will fail to understand. Myra is SOMETIMES a comforting friend, the best companionship when it comes to embarking on a journey that will get you God knows where, the granny of our co-hoot (that includes the white hair) and I refer to her as Misses bacon, but I hope you will be lucky enough to have her (and if not witness her) as the President of the General Assembly.

I’ve known Malak practically my whole life and I can tell you that I’ve never met someone as cheerful as her. She is the kind of person that is always smiling and when I say always, I do mean ALWAYS. When it’s morning and everyone is either sleepy or just too tired to even talk, you can find her walking around the hallway all cheerful and singing. That’s not all; there are a lot of things this girl can do that will surprise you. She is the most helpful person I know; whenever you feel down and lost she will guide you and influence you by her flowing positive energy. I love the fact that she is a very big risk taker and that she isn’t scared to face the problems in front of her, maybe that’s all because of her courage. For those reasons she really inspires me. Not only is she a hard worker that always aims to do her absolute best; she is also one of the most talented people I know. I can tell you that there isn’t something that she can’t do, from playing sports to perfecting the theatrical arts. To add to that note, I have to tell you that she has a mind-blowing voice. You’ll be shocked to know that she is 16 when you see the way she acts.

Although she’s a vegetarian, we love her. She’s one of the most hardworking people ever.  She wouldn’t let a bump in the road stop her form accomplishing what she wants. Extremely artistic and Creative with new ideas that make her the person she is. She has enough experience in the ICJ that makes her one of our most qualified chairs. Don’t be fooled by the looks, she has always been a high achiever and I wouldn’t doubt for a second she will exceed all of our expectations and be one of the building blocks to this year’s (hopefully successful) OISMUN 8.

Cheerful and always happy. Fit and pretty. She is a risk-taker and a very adventurous person. This girl loves to travel and meet new people. Socializing and communicating is her job.  What about her brain? Her brain functions 99% positively. Her positive energy affects all the people around her.  She is humble and down to Earth. Even though she practices sports, she is a very hard-working person. Her way of thinking is unique.  I can see in her eyes this pure and innocent part. She doesn’t accept the fact that social media and mobile phones had transformed our daily life, and she wants to change it. She prefers talking to people than texting them. I didn’t mention her negative side as I didn’t meet it till now. Her paintings are breath-taking. I see myself in you!

Short size… limitless imagination. When talking about Rita, one can safely say that she’s one of a kind. Amazing at heart, she’s your best advice-giver when in crisis, your best therapist when you need to talk and your partner in crime when she has to be! Despite her grandmother-ish advice and her wiseness, she’s still as pure as a 5 year old deep inside. Although she might start the conversation complaining about something, you just have to wait five more minutes for her to crack one of her weird –if not dumb–jokes. But guess what? Surprisingly you’ll laugh. I can honestly say that if you got to know her, you’ve got a lifesaver. One who’s there to pick up the phone 24/7. I’m not sure, though, if the call will end before one hour has already passed by: from telling embarrassing stories to singing songs that I bet you never heard about… I’ve known her for a short period of time –a couple of months maybe– but it sure feels like I’ve known her for eons.

If you had the chance to be in this year’s Security Council, then you’ve probably dealt with this short, hard working, ambitious, determined, and well-focused girl. A perfectionist who puts, MUN and her delegates a priority. When it comes to seriousness, no one would work harder than her, no one would give their best like her, no one would fight for success like her. You could say she’s the joker! The one card that never loses. Nada I might have never said it before, but you inspire me. Your positive attitude inspires me and is definitely the reason behind the council’s success. If you were lucky enough to deal with her, you will realize that she is the nicest, most faithful friend you could ever dream of having. Nada you’re simply the perfect recipe for a vice-president. I love you and you’re definitely a blessing to have by my side. 

She is a hard-working person who loves to finish her work as fast as possible. I can say she is a very smart and active girl who admires organization. For her, listening to music while studying is necessary. She isn’t familiar with all the recent songs as she doesn’t like them all. Ophelie may seem strict. However, she is not. She is fun and communicative. She seems to be an honest and a good friend.  Also she is a very independent girl who works to get her own money. Ophelie is strongly attached to her beautiful country and loves to inform others about it. She has participated in different MUN conferences and gained a lot of experience.

If you’re a delegate in Hana’s committee, you’re extremely lucky. Hana is a critical and an out-of-the box thinker who is not afraid to go out of her way to make sure you’re at ease. She’s such a caring and supportive person who will create a cozy atmosphere in the committee with her positive attitude. If you’re not in her committee, don’t worry; Hana is a really friendly person who is easy to approach. She’ll be the kind of the person that you don’t remember how you met but glad you did. Look for curly blond hair and a huge bright smile and you’ll find her!

Hala, Hala, Hala,… how can I describe her in just 150 words? Well, I’m sure the first thing that comes to your mind is either drama queen or vibe killer, but I can guarantee you that she is a lot more than that!! I’ve known Hala for several years now and I can tell you she has a heart of gold.  She never ignores a friend in need and doesn’t turn her back on people easily. I can tell you that because I’m certainly not the easiest person to deal with and in spite of that, she never gave up on me. Louli has many hidden talents to: she can sing (not), she can dance (not) but she certainly knows how to be a DIVA!! Even though Hala is THE MOST unorganized person I have ever met, she has a sharp mind and because of that, I know she is going to give her all to her delegates. Hala, you’re an amazing soul, beautiful inside out, so don’t change for anyone! I’ll always be there, and together we’ll figure out who you are and what you want from life. Go big.

Whoever said that blonds are dumb has definitely not met this girl. You’ll probably notice her running around in her not-your-average striking high heels or laughing out loud at the silliest of jokes. But you better watch out when she puts on her serious mode all along with her glasses. If you have her as a chair then trust me you better seize ever single piece of advice she gives you because as her friend, I’d be lost without her guidance.

I myself have been considered as an authoritarian tyrant. Karim takes it to a whole new level.  Karim is one of the few people that know how to sway a crowd to his favor. A skilled and ruthless debater but a wise and remarkably intelligent person that exceeds my expectations of him at every turn. Karim is an extremely weird person. His love for Arabic poetry and the Egyptian culture makes him a very unique person. He can recite to you any poem by Ahmed Fouad Negm and give you a lecture about the history of Egypt during the colonial era. I like to consider him as a living database about the Middle East. Now that this guy is President of the Human Rights Council (French) I believe that the debate level and quality of resolutions would be something surreal.  

If you’re ever awake at 1 a.m. studying, you will usually find Salma Hamza online. I consider her to be a night owl; she usually sleeps during the day and is wide awake during the night. That being said, I also consider her to be one of the most pure hearted people on this planet. She always seeks the interest of others no matter what. She also gives very good advice when needed. However, SHE IS CRAZY. She is really really crazy. Most of my favourite memories and adventures include her and her craziness as well. Which makes her a very good company each day. She’s the one I turn to when I need to quote “F.R.I.E.N.D.S”, and the person who always corrects my French. I consider myself to be very lucky to have Sousou as my friend.  (The rhythm was an accident).

An innocent, yet not so innocent soul is how this person can be described. They can get overly complicated yet filled with simplicity all at once. A speaker of various nationalities yet is dedicated to each of them as if it were their only. It’s funny how they find literally the least funny things hilarious as if they were the best… and probably, only jokes they’d ever heard. When people hear this person’s nickname, they think of the horse in “3asal Eswed”. They’re attached to their cat more than Rabie’s attached to the constant repetition of the weirdest expressions of all time. Messi is the fork to their spoon. Their first day of school is a storytelling of what they did in summer, how they did it, where, when AND EVERY SINGLE DETAIL IN BETWEEN… After listing all of these things, I still manage to love that person–in a not so cheesy kinda way-.

Mostafa Magdy, this year’s vice-president of the environment is an unpolished precious stone, he’s the kind of person who’s outer layer totally contradicts his inner layer, basically give him time, and you’ll see the wonders he can do. He’s as motivated as he is determined. If he sets his mind on something, he’ll work for it like there’s no tomorrow. He’s also a very kind and supportive person who will help a friend in need. Let’s not forget his sense of humor who you’ll have to be patient with! Mostafa Magdy is a book that cannot be judged by its cover, if you don’t know him, all the pre-conceived ideas in your head are wrong. He is truly a one of a kind person who stands out from the crowd.

Nour El Hayatmy is that kind of person that makes you fall in love with his personality after 5 minutes of talking with him. His gentleness, kindness and sweetness make him one of the best people you could ever meet. He’s the most determined person; when he puts something is his mind, he does everything in his hand to achieve it. His charisma is the main reason why he appears on spotlight, he’s always down for a new joke and his sense of humor never gets old. But be careful not to get fooled by his blonde hair and his attractive looks, he’s after all, a nerd in Math HL. However, he never seizes to amaze you by his unexpected maturity and his presence is mandatory when you need him… Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the chair of the ECOSOC committee!!!

Mostafa Tarek is one of the most pleasant people to be around, his ever-cheerful mood being one of is strong points along with his enthusiasm. He is one of the few people able to motivate the others to keep going. His friendliness and loyalty makes him the perfect Co-chair since he will lead the delegates and thus will easily become the link between the delegates and the Chair. Even if he is quite clumsy, proven by the numerous injuries to his foot along the last years, he is one to strive to do his best and do his work. This can only show you how fit he is for the position of Co-chair since he will bring a new wave of determination and hard work over the ECOSOC committee!

The only difference between Sheldon Cooper and this guy is probably his lack of  a PhD. Ahmed or should I say Bolbol is one of the smartest yet craziest people I’ve ever seen. His intelligence knows no bounds in the world of Science yet he manages to have a lack of people skills.  Yet he is one of the nicest and most helpful people I ever met.  This year he is our President of the Special Conference and I have no doubt that his delegates will become regular Harvard debating team material after he is done with them. Having known Ahmed since the 5th Grade I can vouch for his excellent work ethic as well as his cunning intelligence that will one day make him a world-renowned Scientist.

If you ever hear a guy shouting and laughing from the fourth floor during the conference, just know it’s Joe from the ground floor talking to one of his friends. He might be the loudest member of the team but he is by far the funniest and kindest. Despite the “el na3ama” emails he sends, he’s someone who takes his work seriously and he’s someone who’s responsible. Honestly, he can appear to be dumb or stupid, but you wouldn’t believe it if you knew how smart this guy actually is. It’s safe to say that he is taking both maths and physics higher level and he is going to be the first one in our school to score 7s in both.

First impressions? No, It’s not her thing. But the moment you get to know her she’s one of the funniest,  craziest and kind hearted people you will ever get the chance to meet. Along with her sense of humour, farida is the most talented person i’ve ever known. When it comes to literature, i can read her writings for hours “the ones i am lucky enough to understand ” without getting bored.

Ibrahim is the one who will eat your food. And you can never hate him for it. He is brilliant, but doesn’t show it. You can never really figure out what color his eyes are. At first glance, you’ll think he’s shy and calm but once you get to know him… well let’s just say you’re in for a nice surprise. He is funny and quirky. He is the cherry on top of the team. He is righteous and will admit when he’s wrong. He is accepting of other people. He has a refreshing personality. At times lazy and grumpy but that just adds to the entertainment that comes with his company. He has quiet an unusual behavior most of the time making it hard not to notice when he’s around. He has that “je ne sais quoi” that makes him so noteworthy. We’re all lucky to have him as part of the team. 

This goes to my partner in, honestly, everything. This goes all the way from laughing till our stomachs ache in Chemistry class till trying to sneak out without supervisors noticing in China and everything in between. Not to forget skipping religion classes together with the dumbest excuse of simply looking for our books and the Chinese man who made our flight memorable. Even though it’s only been 3 years, I can safely say that the chain of unforgettable memories that links us together will never come to an end. There is no point to try and summarize this person in one paragraph because no words will ever do him justice or will ever be able to describe our friendship.  To be honest, I don’t want to sound like a girl on her best friend’s birthday.
